- When you have a new installation or a replacement project, an electrician can estimate the costs by calculating the approximate time and materials needed to complete the project. This is usually a fairly quick process and there is no charge.

- If you are having electrical problems and your equipment doesn't work or doesn't work properly, the technician does not know the repairs needed or the time and materials he will need to solve the problem. In such cases, the technician first needs to find out the cause of the issue by performing tests and evaluating the equipment. Since the Technician is performing diagnostic work, the service is paid on an hourly basis. 

If you are unsure whether your electrical needs could be estimated or require a troubleshooting visit, our dispatch can help determine this and asset with scheduling the correct appointment. 

Our troubleshooting rate is $195 per hour and we have a one hour minimum. This charge covers evaluation and diagnosis of your electrical problem or equipment. This rate/fee does not include the cost of repairs or materials needed to solve the problem. Once the technician has a diagnosis, he will provide repair options and costs. If the repairs needed are minor and we have the right parts, with your approval, our technician would gladly complete them during the same visit. For more extensive repairs we often provide a quote and schedule the work for another day. 

Every electrical situation and every home is completely different. In order to ensure that we provide you with the most accurate information and pricing we can, the technician needs to have a look in person. We can sometimes provide approximate pricing for certain projects such as Car Chargers, Simple like-for-like Replacements, and certain equipment Hookups. Our friendly dispatch staff can advise you whether we need to schedule a visit or will provide approximate pricing if possible.
